Coin Gives Nod to Darwin and Theory of Evolution

Two-hundred years since his birth, and 150 years after the publication of his ground-breaking book on evolution, Charles Darwin has been immortalized by the Royal Mint for the first time on a special £2 coin, available now in 22 karat gold and silver.

The coin will also be available in Brilliant Uncirculated standard and will enter U.K. circulation later this year.
