Polygamous group claims millions in gold and silver bullion was stolen


WEST JORDAN — Accusations of gold and silver thefts are swirling around a Utah polygamous clan. Rather than a few gold coins, like those that turned up mysteriously a few days ago in a St. George bank, this claim involves gold and silver bullion worth millions of dollars. But is it real, or simply a hoax?

Platinum at 6-month high on demand outlook; gold gains


Platinum rose to a six-month high in London on speculation that improving auto sales and a potential new exchange-traded fund will increase demand for the metal. gold also gained.

Palladium Coin Bill Introduced


A bill to authorize the Mint to produce a .995 fine one-ounce ultra-high-relief Saint-Gaudens double eagle bullion coin in palladium metal was introduced April 1 by Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., as Senate bill S. 758.
